IRCC accepting copies of language test results for some Immigration programs

August 2, 2020

The Canada Immigration Department has finally clarified, the long-awaited language test requirements for various Immigration programs.

Future Canadian Immigrants have to qualify Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) requirements for application under different Immigration programs. As per IRCC, each program has a minimum score requirement under different skillset of the language requirements. Usually, the language test results have to be submitted in original form to the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) to qualify for these programs.

But, IRCC has provided clarity that they will now be accepting copies of the test results, instead of originals. This is applicable for the following 4 programs:

· Start-up Visa Program

· Agri-Food Pilot (AFP)

· Rural Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP)

· Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP)
