Express Entry draw: Canada invites 392 PNP candidates for Canadian Permanent Residence
June 24, 2020
Canada held another Express Entry draw for PNP candidates on 24th June 2020 which invited 392 candidates to apply for permanent residence. Canada Immigration still holds firm ground even in the Covid-19 pandemic times, giving hopes to future Canadian Permanent Residence aspirants.
Canada Immigration held yet another round of Express Entry draws, inviting candidates from PNP category for Permanent Residence applications. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued ministerial instructions for inviting 392 Provincial Nominee Class applicants. The CRS score of the lowest ranked candidate invited in the draw stood at 696 points.
All these candidates had received a provincial nomination prior to the draw, which awarded an additional 600 points to them. This clearly indicates that without the Provincial Nomination, the applicants would have received a CRS score of 96 points. Nowadays, a lot of applicants are choosing to proceed with PNP applications, considering the high cut-off scores in regular express entry draws.
The Express Entry system of Canadian Permanent Residence includes three main classes - Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades Class (FST) and the Canadian Experience Class CEC. The Provincial Nomination Program or PNP programs are varied and multiple as per the requirements of each province.
