Express Entry Draw: 557 candidates Invited for Canada PR under PNP

July 22, 2020

Canada Immigration – IRCC issued 557 ITAs to candidates having Provincial Nominations in the latest Express Entry draw.

On July 22, 2020, IRCC held its 156th draw inviting PNP candidates from the Express Entry pool to apply for Canada PR. A total of 557 ITAs were issued to Candidates above the minimum CRS cut-off score of 687 points. This cut-off happens to be the lowest in the year 2020 for PNP candidates. Which means the candidates had a score of only 87 points without the nomination.

Ever since the borders were closed due to Covid-19, Canada has been inviting majority of its Express Entry candidates from Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and Provincial Nomination Programs (PNP) categories. If applied under the PNP category, successful applicants receive an additional of 600 points due to the nomination. Because of this, PNP programs have gained popularity amongst candidates who are struggling to gather eligibility points under Canada Express Entry program otherwise.
