Travel Restriction due to Corona virus have been lifted for immediate family members of Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents in Canada. CBSA announced the changes
Canada Border Services Agency - CBSA announced changes to travel ban due to Covid-19 on June 08, 2020. The press release confirmed that immediate family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents, who do not have Covid-19 symptoms can enter Canada as of June 8 2020. The foreign Nationals entering Canada must quarantine for a period of at least 14 days starting the date they enter Canada.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also confirmed the details in a video doing public address. Canada is dedicated to its principles of reuniting families always. Foreign Nationals will be allowed to enter only if they are visiting for at least 15 days, which is inclusive of the 14 day quarantine.
Travelers recognized as immediate family members include
Spouse or common-law partner
Dependent children
Parents or stepparents
Guardians or tutors
This exemption is not applicable to temporary residents in Canada.
